  • I thought I had problems with my Mercedes transmission due to the jerky ride and 200k miles I drove on the car. Rich was very friendly and professional, he ran a scan on all the modules and took the car for a spin. He could have told me I needed a transmission and I would have believed him but he told me that my problem was a misfire cylinder due to the bad coils on my spark plugs. I had no work done at European Exchange but my experience with Rich was that he is an honest man, if I ever need a transmission repair I would return to European Exchange.

    I forgot to bring my check with me when I picked up my car. This may be a small thing to you, but to me, it is a great importance. Rarely do we meet an honest man such as you.To this man , This honest man, we take the extra step to do what we say. Therefore my check is enclosed, if the amount is not sufficient, please let me know. I wrote it immediately upon returning to my home.
    It is all to clear to me that you could have done any number of things to generate a bill in excess of $1000, and in many cases not even have done the work. You didn’t! I often wonder that your integrity is not a thing of the past, you give me hope. My father told me in his days of business. The times that business was done on a handshake and the times when a man gave his word, he kept it. No matter what!

  • Hi Richard,
    I just want to thank you for the quick and great work you did on my daughter's 2003 Silver VW Beetle. I drove it all the way home (156 miles) and it drove wonderfully (I'm sure just what you expected)! My daughter was beyond excited to get it back last night. If I'm not mistaken, she actually hugged it! Again, thank you for the quick turn around and what I believe was an extremely fair price. Have a great summer!

  • Rich and Jose were great! Lifesavers really! I was in NJ on a work trip, 5 hours from home and my car started acting crazy. It wouldn't shift into 4th gear, check engine lights on, AT light on etc. I couldn't drive it over 30MPH! I stopped by Pep Boys ... This was an ideal opportunity for a mechanic to get over on someone and these guys didn't even think twice, they just got right to work on helping the customer in front of them for a very fair price! And I thoroughly researched it all when I got home! Super grateful! Thanks again!

  • Well I cant say anything but amazing guys I told them what's been going on with my transmission and they said they would help me out with my troubles dealing with my GTI 2008 MK5 and I found it very generous that these guys were so helpful with someone they didn't know . Fact is there are still awesome people out there you just have to look around and not give up. Looking for the rite mchanics.

  • Hi, I had a unusual transmission issue with my MB RClass at about 100k miles. I was considering getting rid of the vehicle being that dealer prices for repairs were crazy. Researched around and ran this shop online. Read the reviews and went by how good they were. Met Rich, honest guy, diagnosed my vehicle. Knew what I needed and sure enough resolved my issue a few days later. I use my vehicle for work purposes so I put in a lotttt of miles. I'm currently at 166k miles in a 2 year spam since fixed and I've had no issues. Recently he just did a tranny service on it. (Oil filters etc) Recommend it.

  • If you are looking to find someone that know what they are doing, tells it like it is and will give you an honest experience for a reasonable price then Rich is your guy.If you want a sexy showroom with coffee and muffins then pay 3 times the amount with the dealer and make sure they give you a loaner. Rich makes an unpleasant experience (no-one chooses to have gearbox challenges) as painless as possible so talk first to European Exchange, Inc.I have found 2 vehicle repair places I trust in 25 years in the US. This is one of those.

  • Had a problem last Friday with my 2005 Grand Marquis. Ritchie was great and traveled a few miles to check out my car. Front clutch was gone and needed to be rebuilt. We negotiated a fair repair price and I left the car there for the weekend. Job was started first thing Monday and was fixed by Monday night. I'm happy that I picked European.
